Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Workday Functional Manager to lead and deliver enterprise-level Workday HCM solutions within a Big 4–equivalent consulting environment.
This role is ideal for a senior professional with deep functional expertise in Workday, strong leadership capabilities, and proven experience managing complex implementations and post-go-live support engagements for large, global clients.
The Workday Functional Manager will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring high-quality delivery, optimizing Workday HCM processes, and leading multidisciplinary teams in dynamic, high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end Workday HCM functional delivery, including implementations, enhancements, and ongoing support engagements.
- Serve as functional lead and subject matter expert across core modules: HCM, Talent, Recruitment, and Learning.
- Oversee day-to-day service delivery, ensuring alignment with project timelines, scope, quality standards, and client expectations.
- Manage and mentor functional consultants, fostering performance, accountability, and professional growth.
- Act as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders, providing strategic guidance and clear communication.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying optimization opportunities and leveraging Workday releases and best practices.
- Support delivery planning, effort estimation, risk management, and issue resolution across multiple engagements.
- Collaborate with internal teams within a global consulting model to ensure consistent, scalable delivery.
- Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience, preferably within consulting or enterprise environments.
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience as a Workday Functional Consultant.
- Proven experience in Workday implementations and production support.
- Strong functional expertise in at least 2 of the following mandatory modules:
- Workday HCM
- Talent
- Recruitment
- Learning
- Active Workday Certification (mandatory and non-negotiable).
- Experience leading teams and managing functional workstreams at Manager level.
- Fluent English (100%), both written and spoken – non-negotiable.
- Bachelors degree completed; professional license or degree certificate required.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Experience working in a Big 4 or equivalent global consulting firm.
- Exposure to Workday Integrations (not required as a core skill).
- Experience working with enterprise-level or multinational clients.
- Familiarity with global delivery models and distributed teams.
